New Nike Viral Ad Is Crazy

I had to watch this 3 times before i really fully appreciated it. Nike, seemingly always 10 steps ahead in the marketing world, impresses again with this viral video. What you are watching is a Canadian track-athlete named Justin Darlington ("Jus Fly") throwing down the winning dunk in the Nike+ Dunk Contest in LA. Cartwheel to picking up the ball to putting it through his legs and then dunking it. But thats not what impresses the most. The short clip is a perfect example of combining the idea of a viral video with advertisement. The edit does just enough Nike promotions to make it apparent that they are pushing the new Nike Hyperdunk+'s but without being a "in your face" ad.

Its also simply an amazing capture of athletic achievement; as a friend said, "Its videos like this that make me question why i play sports at all."
